OTTAWA, Ont. – The Ontario Tech University basketball programs had a tough weekend in the nation's capital, struggling to contain the offence from the Carleton Ravens and Ottawa Gee-Gees.
For the women they fell 85-32 to the Ravens before a 101-34 loss to the Gee-Gees on Saturday night.
Hadeza Ismaila (Ottawa, Ont.) finished with a team-high seven points on Friday night, while
Bilan Khadar (Ottawa, Ont.) had a team-high nine points against the Ravens on Saturday.
The Ontario Tech men allowed 100 points in back-to-back games as they lost 119-58 to Carleton before a similar 110-58 loss to Ottawa.
Ammar Hassan (London, Ont.) led the Ridgebacks with 16 points on Friday night, just missing a double-double with eight boards.
Nelly Hussein (Ottawa, Ont.) had a season-high 13 points in his hometown on Saturday to pace the Ontario Tech scoring.
Ontario Tech continues their stretch on the road as they travel to St. Catharines and Hamilton next weekend for their first OUA games against Brock and McMaster.
