OSHAWA, Ont. – The UOIT men's soccer team continues to look for their first win of the season, but it could have easily have happened Friday against Queen's if it wasn't for bounces literally not going their way.
It ended in a 1-0 loss to the Gaels.
Queen's lone goal of the night came from Michael Chang in the 48
th minute. Chang happened to be in the right place at the right time as a clearing attempt near the goal line was intercepted by Chang and bounced off him into the empty goal.
The Ridgebacks did have more opportunities against the 1-1-0 Gaels, but unfortunately Alex Jones was up to the challenge and made seven saves in his clean sheet victory.
Nicholas Miller (Oshawa, Ont.) made two saves in the loss for UOIT.
This Sunday afternoon the Ridgebacks will hope for their first victory of the season at home when they host the RMC Paladins. Kick off is scheduled for 3:15 p.m.
