HAMILTON, Ont. - Competing under the lights in Hamilton on Saturday night, the UOIT Ridgebacks women's lacrosse team dropped a pair of contests, 14-2 and 12-1, to the Trent Excalibur and Queen's Gaels.
Sabrina Lyon (Bowmanville, Ont.)Â recorded the Rigebacks first half goal in their opening contest versus the Excalibur, while
Brianna Nicolas (Ajax, Ont.) notched the second half marker off the assist of first-year attack
Brooke Watson (Courtice, Ont.).
In the second game of the evening versus the first place Gaels, Watson registered the lone UOITÂ goal in the tough road matchup.
The Ridgebacks will look to home field advantage next, as they welcome the York Lions and Toronto Varsity Blues for their first home games of the season on the newly-turfed Vaso's Field. Action begins against the Lions at 8:30 a.m., to be followed by the Varsity Blues at 1:45 p.m.
