OSHAWA, Ont. – On Wednesday the UOIT men's soccer team will host their first-ever home playoff game as they will face the fifth place Laurentian Voyageurs for the third time this year in the opening round of playoffs.

Finishing their regular season with eight wins, UOIT will host Laurentian at 6 p.m. at the Oshawa Civic. On Sunday, they defeated Nipissing 2-0 on the road to top off their 8-7-3 regular season, finishing fourth in the OUA eastern conference standings, two points ahead of Laurentian.

During their first encounter the two teams played to a 1-1 draw. UOIT came up victorious in their second match up, defeating the Voyageurs 1-0 on the road to leapfrog the Voyageurs in the standings.

All other first round games are being played Wednesday. Ryerson and Queen's play their OUA eastern conference first round match while Carleton and Toronto have the bye for finishing 1-2.

In the OUA western conference matches, Western and Brock go head to head, while Guelph faces Windsor. York and McMaster have the bye.
