OSHAWA, Ont. – The UOIT women's soccer team had no issue picking up their fourth straight win of the OUA season as the Ridgebacks rolled to an 8-0 win over RMC at home on Sunday.
Freshman
Rhiannon Kissel (Peterborough, Ont.) led the way with three goals, while sophomore
Taijah Henderson (Ajax, Ont.) scored twice.
Veterans
Shynice Williams (Mississauga, Ont.),
Cassandra Sribny (Pickering, Ont.) and
Katherine Koehler-Grassau (Greely, Ont.) rounded out the Ridgeback scoring.
In goal,
Helen Frampton (Toronto, Ont.) continued her shutout streak, pushing it to 325 minutes as she only played the opening half against the Paladins.
Victoria Savage (Woodbridge, Ont.) shared the clean sheet by keeping RMC off the board in the second half.
Alexandria Hogg and Claudia Rusu each allowed four goals for RMC. Hogg took the loss for the Paladins after making 11 first-half saves.
With her hat trick on Sunday, Kissel's six goals have her tied for fourth in OUA league scoring, while Sribny has moved into the top ten with four goals.
UOIT will now prepare for their trip to the north, with matches against Nipissing and Laurentian next weekend. Kickoff for both games is 12 p.m.
