OSHAWA, Ont. – With two of their top strikers on the sidelines, the UOIT men's soccer team knew goals would be tough to come by.
The Ridgebacks were accurate with their pregame assessment as the Queen's Gaels left Oshawa with a 1-0 win and three points in the standings.

th minute was the difference maker as the Gaels earned their seventh win of the year and extended their unbeaten streak to three games.
The Ridgebacks made a late push looking for the equalizer and controlled the flow of the game for the final ten minutes. In injury time off a corner kick,
Mitchell Hunt (Bowmanville, Ont) attempted to get his head on the loose ball but Queen's keeper Taylor Reynolds got his hands on it to return it to safety.
Travis Martin (Whitby, Ont.) made five stops in the losing effort.
UOIT (5-7-1) remains six points up on the Laurentian Voyageurs (3-8-1) who were idle on Friday.
The Ridgebacks will be back on the pitch on Sunday afternoon when they host the RMC Paladins. RMC has struggled this season with one win and two draws. UOIT defeated RMC 2-0 in their previous meeting in Kingston.
