Rohan Sarna made the coach's decision to start him for the first time this season pay off as he netted his first goal off a cross from teammate Tommy Hong in just the second minute of play. That proved to the game's lone goal as goalkeepers
Travis Martin (UOIT) and Taylor Reynolds (Queen's) combined to make 10 saves for the remainder of the game.
UOIT fired five shots in the second half but were unable to crack the scoresheet, failing to complete their second comeback victory of the weekend.
Queen's has now won four straight games and sit in first place in the OUA eastern conference standings with a 5-0-1 record. UOIT drops to 1-2-2 but remains in fifth place.
Following a home game against Ryerson on Wednesday, valuable points will be up for grabs next weekend as the Ridgebacks travel to Laurentian (0-4-2) and Nipissing (1-3-2), two teams that trail UOIT in the standings.
