OSHAWA, Ont. – The UOIT women's field lacrosse team will have home field advantage this weekend as they will be hosting six OUA games at Oshawa Civic Fields on Saturday, October 4.

The six games will be a sneak peak of what fans can expect when the Ridgebacks host the OUA women's field lacrosse championship from October 31 to November 2 at the Civic.

Seven OUA teams will be taking part in the event this Saturday including the York Lions, Guelph Gryphons, Brock Badgers, Toronto Varsity Blues, Laurier Golden Hawks, Trent Excalibur and the hosting UOIT Ridgebacks.

UOIT will match up against the Lions at 8 a.m. followed by a match against Toronto at 3 p.m. The Ridgebacks are 1-1-1 to start the season with a win and a loss against Queen's and a draw versus Trent.
 
The Durham Women's Lacrosse League will also be on site as they are the official sponsor of the player of the game awards.

On Sunday, UOIT will head to Queen's where they will take on McMaster and Trent.

Guelph vs. Brock – 9:45 a.m.
Toronto vs. York – 11:30 a.m.
Laurier vs. Brock – 1:15 p.m.
