Raymond named student-athlete of the week

OSHAWA, Ont. – Jesse Raymond (Woodstock, Ont.) has been named the UOIT student-athlete of the week presented by Boston Pizza North Oshawa for the period ending Nov. 16.

A third-year criminology and justice studies major, Raymond made 42 saves on Friday night in the Ridgebacks 4-3 overtime victory over the Toronto Varsity Blues. After allowing a goal 2:24 into the game, Raymond settled down and held Toronto off the scoresheet until to the late stages of the game. The win was also his first in the OUA.
