Fleurgin, a first-year criminology & justice studies student, had her first career OUA double-double on Saturday in a 69-42 loss to the nationally ranked Carleton Ravens. Fleurgin had 17 points, including a perfect 7-for-7 from the line and pulled in 15 boards for the Ridgebacks. She also had four steals in the game, which Ontario Tech had within four in the third quarter. She also had a team-high 11 points against the Ottawa Gee-Gees on Friday night.
 
This weekend both basketball and men’s hockey programs hit the road for a pair of games. Basketball first takes on the Windsor Lancers on Friday night before facing the Western Mustangs on Saturday in London.
 
The Ontario Tech student-athlete of the week award is presented by Subway located at 2069 Simcoe Street North in Oshawa.
