Gomercic, a second-year kinesiology student, played a key offensive role in Friday night’s win for the men’s hockey program. He earned his first OUA hat-trick in the Ridgebacks’ 6-3 victory over the Windsor Lancers, which helped earn them a split over the weekend. His Friday night was all the more impressive as he now has four goals in 2019-20, having only scored once in his rookie campaign.
 
This weekend both basketball and men’s hockey programs hit the road for a pair of games. 

Men’s hockey takes their annual road trip to Montreal to face McGill University and the Concordia Stingers.
 
The Ontario Tech student-athlete of the week award is presented by Subway located at 2069 Simcoe Street North in Oshawa.
