OSHAWA, Ont. – Anthony Latina (Scarborough, Ont.) of the men's hockey team and Tanmay Karnavat (Brampton, Ont.) of the men's badminton team have been named UOIT student-athletes of the week for the period ending February 11.
 
Latina, a third-year communications major, had three assists in the Ridgebacks final two games of the regular season. The Scarborough native has been red hot down the stretch picking up five points in his last five games. Latina and his teammates will look to keep rolling in the first round of the playoffs when they host the Concordia Stingers on Wednesday night at the Campus Ice Centre.

The UOIT student-athlete of the week award is presented by Subway located at 2069 Simcoe Street North in Oshawa.
