After graduating from the dance program as an athlete, Donaldson decided to join the coaching staff alongside former teammate Alissa Kuksis.
Donaldson has been in the performance industry for 20 years starting dance at the age of three. She moved up to the competitive level at the age of six. At a competitive level, she trained in all genres including ballet, lyrical, hip-hop, acrobatics, jazz, tap, contemporary, Latin ballroom and musical theatre. She competed in both regional and national levels throughout North America.
Aside from training at various studios, she graduated with a Regional Arts Letter in Dance from Mayfield Secondary School. At Mayfield, she performed special pieces and auditioned roles for yearly shows such as the Nutcracker.
