PREVIEW: OUA Women's Curling Championship

OSHAWA, Ont. – The Ridgebacks women's curling team is preparing for the upcoming OUA Women's Curling Championship hosted by the Laurentian Voyageurs in Sudbury, Ont.

Ontario Tech is coming off a big 13-1 win over Algoma at the Brock Invitational, where they also faced off against Trent, Waterloo and McMaster. They'll be bringing an intriguing mix of talent to the tournament, with the first tri-sport athlete in Ontario Tech history, Jia Leblanc, and dual-sport athlete Tia Schaffer. Recent Ridgeback athlete of the week winner, Emily Crowe will also be with the team, as well as Ridgeback Leadership Council President, Jasmine Groleau.

The Ridgebacks will be playing in pool D along with Queen's, Laurier and Algoma. On the first day, Ontario Tech will see match ups with Western at 11:30 a.m. and with Laurentian at 7:30 p.m. They'll be back in action the next day with draws against the Guelph Gryphons at 12:30 p.m. and the Windsor Lancers at 7:30 p.m.
