Ottawa, ONT. – The Ontario Tech Ridgebacks women's basketball team battled hard but fell 62-88 to the Ottawa Gee-Gees on the road.

Starting the game on a strong note, the Ridgebacks were able to hold a two-point lead after the first quarter. Throughout the game, the Ridgebacks were able to show some strong offensive plays and capitalize on rebound opportunities. Although, in the second quarter the Gee-Gees were able to distance themselves with their scoring opportunities to lead the rest of the game.

Leading the Ridgebacks was
Adra Barnet (Winnipeg, Man.) with 15 points, five rebounds and was 85 per cent from behind the free throw line.

Allie McCarthy made an impact for the Gee-Gees with 17 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals to help secure the win.
