The Ontario Tech men's basketball team is excited to announce the commitment of Whitby native Keon Baker to the 2023-24 recruitment class.
The six-foot-five wing spent the last two years playing in the United States. In 2021-22 he suited up for Casper Community College, where he shot 46.2 per cent from three-point range in limited time with the T-Birds. He then transferred to New Mexico Military College, where he averaged 11 points per game, including a 24-point performance against South Plains College.
Baker is the second player in this year's recruiting class to come from the Toronto Basketball Academy and was highly sought after by U SPORTS programs when he decided to return to Canada. Baker is a quick, athletic guard who can score in a multitude of ways and the Ridgebacks are proud to bring him back to his roots in the Durham Regin.
"We are thrilled to have Keon join us this September. Keon is a dynamic scorer that has the ability to score at all three levels," said head coach
Deluxshan Pathmanathan. "He will complement our pace of play, and I am excited to see him thrive within our system."
