Ridgebacks announce new dance coach

OSHAWA, Ont. – The Ontario Tech Ridgebacks are pleased to announce Jaslyn Eteli as the dance program's head coach.
 
Eteli has extensive training experience in dance, music and acting and has been coaching and choreographing for the past ten years. She has worked with top choreographers, vocal and acting coaches worldwide and is the director/owner of Living Arts Academy.
 
"I'm beyond thrilled to be coaching the Ridgebacks this year," she said. "I have a focused vision for this team and am excited to be working with such talented dancers. Creating a new dynamic will elevate the success of this varsity team and lead them to unparalleled experiences. I am looking forward to developing a new approach to the program and generating more opportunity."
 
She brings many awards with her to Ontario Tech and is looking to add another as she is a finalist for the Toronto Notable Awards for her entrepreneurial initiatives and artistry in the industry.
 
Along with the awards, Eteli has been featured nationally for her choreography and teaching, with her students having gone on to participate and star in television series (Degrassi, Orphan Black), music videos and more. She also has experience performing in many live events, where her credits and clients include (Nelly Furtado, Shawn Desman, New Kids on the Block, Blake McGrath, CTV, CityTV, CBC, Disney Channel, Family Channel and many more.
 
Eteli is a bachelor of arts (honours) graduate from Western University and has studied under BATD and the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) and has been an active guest coach for many elementary, high school and universities across Ontario.
 
She is excited to bring her creative work and distinct style and coaching to the Ridgebacks program.
