OSHAWA, Ont. – Ontario Tech University women's hockey team concluded their preseason schedule Thursday night with a 4-0 win over the Whitby Jr. Wolves.
The Ridgebacks saw four different goal scores as
Erin Ross (Lucan, Ont.),
Mia Rogers (Keswick, Ont.),
Marissa Murphy (Odessa, Ont.) and
Jamie Bulleid (Waterdown, Ont.) all found the back of the net.
Emily Davis-Tope (Bendigo, Australia) notched two assists, with
Alex Frigon (Dartmouth, N.S.) and
Katie Heath (Elora, Ont.) rounded out the Ridgebacks scoring, each with a lone assist.
Briar Hughes (Thornton, Ont.) and
Hannah Polonsky (Whitby, Ont.) split the Ridgeback net for the combined 17-save shutout. Whitby had Sarah Coe and Belle Mende see a combine 39 shots while splitting time in the loss.
The Ridgebacks are set to begin their 2019-20 season on home ice next Friday when they welcome the Ryerson Rams to the Campus Ice Centre.
