OSHAWA, Ont. – The UOIT women's soccer team was dominant at home on Saturday as the Ridgebacks shutout the Nipissing Lakers 7-0.
Tyra Gordon (Ajax, Ont.) led the way offensively for UOIT with a hat-trick in the second half after substituting into the game for
Shynice Williams (Mississauga, Ont.) at halftime.
The Ridgebacks led 1-0 at half off

Sara Voisin (Waterloo, Ont.) scored three minutes into the second half to put UOIT up 2-0 before Gordon's three goals pushed the lead to five.
Rhiannon Kissel (Peterborough, Ont.) pushed the lead 6-0 in the 76
th minute.

th Sarah Harvey (Bowmanville, Ont.), who assisted on three of the second half goals, scored to round out the Ridgebacks scoring on the day.
Helen Frampton (Toronto, Ont.) made four saves and shared the clean sheet with
Victoria Savage (Woodbridge, Ont.).
Carlee Bennard made five saves in goal for Nipissing in the loss.
The Ridgebacks play their final regular season home game on Sunday when the Laurentian Voyageurs come to Oshawa. Kick-off is 12 p.m.
